I get to this level, Garden of No Return, turn the iPod upside-down then right-side up so the character climbs up and to the right, then the game crashes. No lockup, it just goes away. Had this crash happen numerous times and always at the same point in the game.

I have an iPod Touch 2G 16 gig and using Firmware 2.2.1
All other apps run just fine.

Anyone have suggestions or should I wait for a fix from the creators?

  2. We haven't seen any other reports of this yet, but I'd suggest a restart of the device before playing the level. Due to the way the OS works, the amount of RAM available to the open application can vary wildly, and be as little as about 4MB.

If it's a memory issue, then that should fix it. Please let us know if you have any problems after restarting the device.

Farid, I took your advice and shut off the iPod, then booted it and ran the game.
I got a bit further in the Garden of No Return level this time.
My character crosses the bridges and gets to the rotating portal. This scene remains visible for only a few seconds then the game crashes. I have not been able to get beyond this point. Could this crash problem be caused by a memory leak in the game?

  4. We ran tests to make sure we didn't have any memory leaks. We did have issues at times where memory usage would be high enough to shut down the application though.

This is the first crash report we've received, if it's a recurring thing it will eventually show up for us via Apple, they forward crash reports to us so if anyone else is having the problem we'll get reports of the crashes. To date we don't have any crash reports.

We never tested on the iPod Touch, but with the game update we will, it's likely the crash is limited to the iPod Touch, if so we'll catch it during the test phase before launching the update.
